ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Ovation Academy will produce a Shakespeare in the Park event May 14-16 with a production of Romeo and Juliet.

                     Ovation’s Summer Series will consist of six productions: two large musicals; two small musicals and two stage plays along with weekly camps that will take place during July and August 2021.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     Ovation Academy School of Performing Arts provides onsite training in the disciplines of Dance, Acting, Musical Theatre and Theatrical Production and Design.

                     Additionally, students are also trained in the business of being a professional artist and the life-skills needed to succeed in the industry.

                     Ovation believes in a “whole-istic” approach to learning.

                     Ovation offers a Conservatory Academy for students in grades 6-12; a Homeschool Program for students grades K-12; and After-Hours Community Outreach programs for ages 3 to adult.

                     

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     MCDC’s allocation for FY 20 Cycle I Promotional and Community Event grants is $100,000.

                     MCDC provided Promotional and Community Event grants totaling $9,000 in FY 20 for Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2020 performances.
