RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of Resolution for acceptance and implementation of grant award.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· The UASI program focuses on enhancing regional security preparedness in major metropolitan areas.
· Staff requests approval to accept and implement grant award of $25,000 to fund a full-time, temporary Web EOC Operations Center Position.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· Web EOC is a state-wide program administered locally by the City of McKinney that provides event monitoring and resource allocation to participating jurisdictions: Collin County and the City of Richardson, in the event of a disaster.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· The grant will provide $25,000 to fund a full-time, temporary Web EOC position from February 1, 2014 through September 30, 2014.
· There is no match requirement.
