APPROVAL PROCESS: The recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission will be forwarded to the City Council for final action at the July 16, 2019 meeting.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the proposed rezoning request with the following special ordinance provision:
1. The subject property shall develop in accordance with the attached development regulations.

ITEM SUMMARY: The applicant is requesting to rezone approximately 9.804 acres of land to "PD" - Planned Development District, generally to modify the development standards. More specifically, the proposed rezoning request establishes standards to create a commercial development to align with the character of the area and the Comprehensive Plan.
On April 9, 2019, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5-0-0 to continue the public hearing and table the item to the April 23, 2019 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
On April 23, 2019, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-0-0 to close the public hearing indefinitely.
