ITEM SUMMARY:
• On July 19, 2018, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) published the final rule (49 CFR Part 673) on PTASP requirements. The rule takes effect on July 19, 2019.
• All Section 5307 transit operators must have an agency safety plan in place no later than July 20, 2020.
• For Tier II 5307 providers, such as the City of McKinney, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is assisting with the development of the Plan.
• After adoption of the Plan by the MUTD, the Plan will be submitted to TxDOT for regional adoption before July 20, 2020.
