ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     On July 19, 2018, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) published the final rule (49 CFR Part 673) on PTASP requirements.  The rule takes effect on July 19, 2019.

                     All Section 5307 transit operators must have an agency safety plan in place no later than July 20, 2020.

                     For Tier II 5307 providers, such as the City of McKinney, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is assisting with the development of the Plan.

                     After adoption of the Plan by the MUTD, the Plan will be submitted to TxDOT for regional adoption before July 20, 2020.
