RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a professional services contract to provide landscape architectural and engineering services related to the design and construction of the Bonnie Wenk Park Phase II project.
* Five firms submitted statements of qualifications and were evaluated by seven City staff from the Engineering and Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) departments.
* From the five firms that submitted, the two top ranking firms were interviewed by the evaluation team, and the firm of la terra studio, inc. was selected.
* la terra studio, inc. has submitted a proposal to provide professional landscape architectural and engineering services related to the design and construction of the Bonnie Wenk Park Phase II project in an amount of $494,325.
* The total budget for this project is $4.4 million.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* la terra studio, inc. designed the Tennis Complex in Gabe Nesbitt Community Park which won the USTA Outstanding Facility Award in 2012.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* The Bonnie Wenk Park Phase II Project (PK3222) is a FY13-14 Capital Improvements Program funded by general obligation funds and MCDC funds.
