ITEM SUMMARY:
· The UASI program focuses on enhancing regional security preparedness in major metropolitan areas.
· Staff requests approval to accept and implement grant award of $50,000 in UASI grant funding for training and equipment for members of the McKinney Vertical Rescue Team.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The grant will provide funding for new safety ropes and harnesses, as well as training for new members and additional training for existing members of the McKinney Vertical Rescue Team.
