ITEM SUMMARY:
• Owners of the McKinney Flour Mill (415 E Louisiana Stret) have expressed interest in acquiring part of the city-owned property containing concrete and metal silos located at 406 E. Virginia Street.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City acquired the silos as part of a land purchase anticipating a future City Hall Site.
• The silo property is, along with the flour mill building, on the National Register of Historic Places.
• The metal silos were listed as ‘not contributing, for the National Register application because they were not old enough at the time.
• At Council’s request, Flour Mill representatives will present information and the details of their request.
