RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:      
·      Approval of the Resolution.
 
ITEM SUMMARY:  
·      The attached Resolution authorizes the Interim City Manager, or his authorized designee, to approve the terms and conditions of an Interlocal Agreement between Frisco Independent School District, City of Frisco, Texas, and City of McKinney, Texas regarding the Mooneyham Elementary School Project.
 
·      Students residing in Villages at Willow Bay subdivision in Frisco who attend FISD's Mooneyham Elementary School are cutting through alleyways and crossing a drainage channel at Ash Woods Park in McKinney to travel to and from school.
 
·      This agreement allows for the development of an alternate route to and from Mooneyham by constructing walkways and a pedestrian bridge across the drainage channel between the subdivision and Ash Woods Park.
 
·      A companion budget amendment ordinance is also on this agenda.
 
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  
·      The construction of the pedestrian bridge has been in consideration for several years. It will provide a safe route with a less circuitous path to and from the school.
 
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:  
·      The companion budget amendment ordinance authorizes the necessary City funding based on the proposed agreement.
