ITEM SUMMARY:
* The City of McKinney is a recipient of Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) Funding from the Department of Treasury through Collin County to prepare for, respond to, or prevent the Coronavirus, and to use funding to benefit low-to-moderate income households and persons, who meet the following criteria:
o Renters with incomes of up to 80% of area median income (AMI); and
o One or more individuals in the household has qualified for unemployment benefits or can attest in writing that they have a reduction in household income, incurred significant costs, or experienced significant other financial hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic; and
o One or more individuals in the household can demonstrate a risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability which may include a past due utility or rent notice or an eviction notice; or unsafe or unhealthy living conditions; or other evidence of such as determined by the grantee.
* Under this program, Catholic Charities has been acting as a subrecipient of the City of McKinney, providing case management and application services for the funding.
* Due to the success of the McKinney program, Collin County has allocated additional funds in the amount of $3,000,000 for direct services and program delivery, to the City of McKinney to assist McKinney residents impa...
