RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a change order to the contract with North Texas Contracting, Inc, to complete the Dudperkins Sanitary Sewer Improvements project, for a revised total contract amount not to exceed $918,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· This project was necessary to replace outdated sanitary sewer lines that require frequent maintenance to function properly.
· North Texas Contracting, Inc. was awarded the contract last summer for an amount not to exceed $910,000.
· During the course of construction change orders were necessary to account for unforeseen field conditions.
· At this point the project is nearly completed; however, one final change order is needed to cover unforeseen conditions. An increase of $8000 is necessary to complete the project.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a change order to the contract with North Texas Contracting, Inc. for a revised total contract amount not to exceed $918,000.
· Funds are available in the Capital Improvements Program in WW6025.
