· Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a change order with S.J. Louis Construction of Texas, Ltd. for additional services for a revised contract amount not to exceed $2,816,000 for the construction of the US 380 Water Main - 920 Pressure Plane Connection - West Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter, L.L.P. is the design consultant for this project.
· This water project is an integral component of the water system and is necessary to deliver water from the University Pump Station.
· The original contract was authorized for an amount not to exceed $2,800,000.
· During the construction an existing air release valve near the intersection of Custer Road and US 380 was found to be in conflict with the Custer Road widening project and it was determined the valve needed to be relocated.
· A contract increase, in the amount of $16,000 will provide the funds needed for the relocation of the air release valve.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a contract with S.J. Louis Construction of Texas, Ltd. for a revised contract amount not to exceed $2,816,000.
· Funding for this change order is available in the Capital Improvements Program (WA6011).
