RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: 

 

                     Subsequent to being considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission on October 12, 2010, the applicant withdrew the proposed rezoning request.  As such, no further action is necessary.

 

                     The applicant has indicated that they will submit a new, modified rezoning request in the near future.

 

ITEM SUMMARY:

 

                     The applicant is requesting to rezone approximately 35.15 acres of land, located on the southeast corner of Virginia Parkway and Stonebridge Drive, from “PD” - Planned Development District to “PD” - Planned Development District, generally to modify the development standards.  The subject property is a portion of the master planned community named Adriatica, which is intended to replicate the character of a Croatian village.

BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: 

 

                     On October 12, 2010, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 4-2-1 to recommend denial of the proposed rezoning request (Commission Members Bush and Thompson voted in favor of the request and Commission Member Eckenrode recused himself).  The applicant has withdrawn the proposed rezoning request thus no further action is necessary.
