RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* Discuss and provide names of three PROS Advisory Board members to serve on a Visioning Advisory Committee for the Park Master Plan Update.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* In support of the Park Master Plan Update, Staff recommends the creation of a Visioning Advisory Committee in order to support and champion the process.

* The Committee is intended to guide the outcome of this project, provide intermediary reviews of concepts and broad recommendations, and help ensure the plan aligns with the goals of the community.

* Staff recommends that the Committee be comprised of the following:

o 3 - PROS Board Representatives
* Staff is requesting PROS Board appointments at the September 10th regular meeting.
o 3 - McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) Representatives
* Staff requested MCDC appointments at their August 27th regular meeting.
o 3- City Council Representatives
* Staff requested City Council appointments at their September 15th regular meeting.

* When considering appointments, it is important to note the anticipated time commitment required for Advisory Committee members. Three (3) Visioning Advisory Committee meetings are anticipated throughout the Park Master Plan Update process. There will also be multiple public meetings with the general public and various stakeholders throughout the process at which the presence of Staff and Advisory Committee members will be important.
