RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with DEC - North Texas, LLC to provide additional professional engineering services for the design of the DEC - North Texas, LLC Project (WA0210) for an increase in the not to exceed from $291,440 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any additional supplemental agreements, not to exceed $310,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* DEC - North Texas, LLC is currently under contract with the City for design and construction administration services related to the Independence Parkway 24-inch waterline project.
* DEC - North Texas, LLC submitted a proposal for $10,907 for additional services ($301,612 aggregate contract total), which has been reviewed by staff and exceeds the previously authorized not to exceed amount of $291,440. The following additional services will be required to address the property owner's concerns:
o Additional design effort is needed to mitigate the property owner's concerns about impacts to the structure, driveway, and trees. Updating the plans will include changes to the details, specifications, bid documents, and opinion of probable construction cost.
o Onsite staking for the proposed and construction easements.
