RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:      
·      Approval of Resolution for acceptance of grant, if awarded
 
ITEM SUMMARY:  
·      The primary goal of the Assistance to Firefighter's Grant (AFG) is to meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments
·      Staff requests approval to accept grant, if awarded, for up to $278,789.00 in AFG funding to purchase vehicle emission exhaust removal systems for eligible fire stations not currently equipped.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  
·      The City of McKinney has four fire stations not equipped with vehicle exhaust systems which are eligible under the Assistance to Firefighter's Grant (AFG)
 
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:  
·      The total project cost is $278,789.00 which requires up to a 10% match of $27,878.90
