ITEM SUMMARY:  
·      This item authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Frisco for the construction of two southbound left turn lanes on Coit Road.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  
·      When the Heights of Westridge was constructed, the developers were required to build the two lanes of the future Coit Road from the City's south boundary to Westridge Boulevard. The two lanes constructed by the developers will ultimately become the northbound lanes of Coit Road.
·      The Developers of the Heights of Westridge escrowed $67,142 for the construction of southbound left turn lanes into the development when the southbound lanes of Coit Road are constructed.
·      The City of Frisco is now constructing the southbound lanes of Coit Road from Westridge Boulevard to the McKinney Southern City Limits.
·      The City of McKinney has requested that the City of Frisco build the southbound left turn lanes into the Heights of Westridge at Raegenea Drive and Clagary Drive as part of the Frisco construction project.  
 
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:  
·      The Cost of the proposed left turn lanes are $67,142.
·      The Developers of the Heights at Westridge escrowed $67,142 for the construction of the two turn lanes.
·      The ILA will send this escrowed monies to Frisco for the construction of the turn lanes.
