RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution amends the budget by transferring $93,250 from PK4395 Gabe Nesbitt MAPC Parking Lot to PK7102 Aquatic Center Design to be used for the Architectural and Engineering (A/E) Contract to design Phase 2 of the McKinney Aquatics and Fitness Center.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

                     On February 17, 2014, a professional services contract was authorized to provide architectural and engineering services related to the design and construction of the Aquatics and Fitness Center with Brinkley Sargent Wiginton Architects.

 

                     Proposals for Phase 2 design work were requested and received from Brinkley Sargent Wiginton Architects.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     The attached financial summary details the transfer of funds in the amount of $93,250 from PK4395 Gabe Nesbitt MAPC Parking Lot to PK7102 Aquatic Center Design.

 

                     Removes $1,406,750 MCDC funding from PK4395 Gabe Nesbitt MAPC Parking Lot for allocation to 4B1409 for Aquatic Center Construction.

 

                     There are two companion agenda items for amendment to the design contract with Brinkley Sargent Wiginton Architects and the construction contract with Manhattan Construction.

 

BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:

                     On November 19, 2015, a similar agenda item was presented to and approved by the McKinney Community Development Corporation.
