RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes a professional services contract to provide Architectural / Engineering Services related to the design and construction of a second Aircraft Storage Hangar located at McKinney National Airport for an amount not to exceed $125,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• City Council was previously presented a business plan showing the need for the new hangar for the storage of transient aircraft.
• KSA Engineers, Inc. was previously selected as the Engineer of Record for McKinney National Airport through a qualifications based selection process which is valid through September of 2017.
• KSA submitted a proposal for the scope of work for this project for $106,500.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes a professional services contract for Architectural / Engineering Services, for design and construction services and potential changes to that scope of services, with KSA for an amount not to exceed $125,000.
• A separate agenda item and budget amendment is included to allocate funding for the McKinney Airport Transient Hangar No. 2 (AI4377) project.
