BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The ASFAC serves to assist animal shelters located within the city with compliance with Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 823.
• In accordance with City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 26, Section 26-50, the ASFAC must be comprised of at least four members, including at least one:
o Licensed veterinarian,
o Municipal official,
o Person whose duties include the daily operation of an animal shelter, and
o Representative of an animal welfare organization
