RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of Resolution for acceptance and implementation of grant award.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· The UASI program focuses on enhancing regional security preparedness in major metropolitan areas.
· Staff requests approval to accept and implement grant award of $90,000 in UASI grant funding to extend Web EOC services to Collin County.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The Texas Department of Public Safety recognizes that Web EOC is a crucial component to the management of emergency situations on a regional and state level.
· The City of McKinney is taking the lead on extending Texas Web EOC Interoperability services to Collin County.
· Web EOC will provide Collin County with the ability to seamlessly make and receive resource requests, monitor the status of resource requests, provide status updates and monitor regional incidents.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· The grant will provide $90,000 for the implementation of the Web EOC project.
· There is no match requirement.
