RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Greeniverse Construction, LLC, for the Construction of the Craig Ranch Intersection Improvements Project (ST2124) for a total contract amount not to exceed $79,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Staff from the Engineering Department identified the need for minor intersection improvements in the Craig Ranch Corporate Center to better accommodate large vehicles (busses, large trucks, etc.).
* The intersection of Van Tuyl Parkway and Weiskopf Avenue was identified as needing minor improvements under CIP Project ST2124.
* Construction plans for the Craig Ranch Intersection Improvements Project (ST2124) have been developed in-house by the Engineering Department.
* The project generally includes minor intersection improvements in Craig Ranch at the intersection of Van Tuyl Parkway and Weiskopf Avenue including:
o Construction of mountable curb returns at two corners of the intersection including ADA-compliant curb ramps;
o Adjustment of median nose on the south leg of the intersection;
o Signing, pavement markings, and associated surface facility adjustments.
* Once completed, the intersection will accommodate turning movements for larger vehicles.
