ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with Bill Joplin’s Compressor Services, Inc. dba Bill Joplin’s Air Conditioning & Heating of McKinney, Texas as the Primary Vendor and EEC Enviro Service Company, LLC of Red Oak, Texas as the Secondary Vendor for HVAC Services on an as needed basis.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation for Bid 16-38FP HVAC Services in December 2015.
• Six (6) bids were received on December 31, 2015.
• An Evaluation Team comprised of three City employees reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o Price
o Reputation of the bidder(s) and of bidders’ goods or services verified through references
o Extent to which the goods or services meet the City’s needs
o Response time
• The Evaluation Team recommends Bill Joplin’s Compressor Services, Inc. dba Bill Joplin’s Air Conditioning & Heating of McKinney, Texas as (Primary) and EEC Enviro Service Company, LLC of Red Oak, Texas (Secondary) for HVAC Services as the best values for the City of McKinney.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a two (2) year period with three (3) one (1) year renewal options.
