ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with TAPS as the Direct Recipient and Urban Transit District for the McKinney UZA.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· At the May 7, 2013 City Council Meeting the City Council approved a Resolution designating TAPS as the Direct Recipient and the Urban Transit District for the McKinney UZA, contingent upon the successful negotiation of the subject ILA.
· Representatives of the City of McKinney and TAPS are negotiating the terms of the ILA. A copy of the ILA will be provided to Council prior to the meeting.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· The City currently provides $100,000 per year in funding for public transportation.
