Approval of the attached Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· This item authorizes the award of the contract for Street Materials, Invitation to Bid 12-14FP, as follows:
o Section A- Inlets, Grates and Lids
§ Rose Contracting
o Section B- Aggregate
§ Liberty Sand & Gravel - #1 Flexbase
§ Copeland Sand & Gravel - Type B, Grades 3,4, & 5 Aggregate
o Section C- Sand
§ Liberty Sand & Gravel
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The Invitation to Bid was advertised on April 15, 2012 and three (3) bids were received and opened on May 5, 2012.
· The bid documents allow the City to award the bid by individual section and/or line items; therefore, the bidders were permitted to bid on any portion of either section.
· This contract is for a period of one year, commencing on the date of award and can be renewed for two additional one-year periods at the City's discretion.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
Funds will be encumbered as needed for the jobs that may arise during this contract period.
