RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the attached Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* The proposed Resolution authorizes the application for and acceptance of, if awarded, a Collin County Parks and Open Space Funding Assistance Program grant for the Greens of McKinney trail connection and other related improvements.

* The application submission deadline to Collin County is July 11, 2022, with an award announcement in October of this year (FY23).

* This project will include a 12' trail along the west side of Wilson Creek through the Greens of McKinney park property. This trail will begin at the underpass at Eldorado Parkway and will terminate at the south end of the property. The trail will intersect midway where a new pedestrian bridge is being designed across Wilson Creek to the north.

* Together this pedestrian bridge and proposed trail will provide a continuous trail connection from Towne Lake to Highway 5.

* Currently there is a 4-6' wide cart path that runs throughout the property. This path is in poor condition in many places. This new trail will take the place of the cart path and will be appropriately sized as well as designed to meet all ADA standards as well as...
