RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of Ordinance

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Annual Budget by appropriating $120,000 from fund balance in the Capital Equipment Replacement Fund to be used for the Construction Contract to replace the Exterior Door Systems at the McKinney Performing Arts Center.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

 

                     The City received a Historic Buildings and Structures Permit #805 for the required restoration work from THC dated August 10, 2015.

 

                     Requests for competitive sealed proposals for the MPAC Exterior Door Systems Replacement project were received on August 20, 2015.

 

                     MMI General Contractors, Inc. submitted the top-ranked proposal to provide all construction services related to the MPAC Exterior Door Systems Replacement project for an amount of $115,400, which includes the accepted alternates.

 

                     The project is not to exceed $120,000.

 

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     The Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Annual Budget will be amended by appropriating $120,000 from fund balance in the Capital Equipment Replacement Fund.

 

                     There is a companion agenda item for the Construction Contract for this restoration project.
