RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of the Ordinance.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Ordinance amends the FY2015-2016 annual CIP budget and the 2016 - 2020 Capital Improvement Program, by increasing the budget by $9,000. The additional $9,000 would be transferred from the Parkland Dedication Zone 3 Fund to the Parks Construction Fund and appropriating the funds to CIP project PK4368 Ash Woods Park Hike and Bike Trail Bridge Project.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     Project design and a construction contract has been awarded.

 

                     The ability to complete the project is contingent on amending the project budget as proposed.

 

                     The additional funds will be used to cover costs for materials testing and TDLR review and inspection.

 

                     Finally, an amount of $16,000 was previously approved in the budget to cover a 10% project construction contingency.  These funds are only allowed to be used for project construction and may / or may not be expended.
