RECOMMENDED PARK BOARD ACTION:
* Approval of the Recommendation.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This phase will consist of converting the four northeastern fields to turf, constructing a restroom building, improving fencing, adding shade for participants and spectators and adding pedestrian connectivity.
* The conversion from grass to turf will greatly increase the playability of the fields.
* This agenda item will authorize a professional services contract with DCBA Landscape Architecture to provide landscape architectural and engineering services related to the renovation of 4 soccer fields and various park improvements at McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* DCBA was selected from a list of pre-qualified landscape architectural firms that Council approved on June 18, 2019.
* The 65 acre soccer complex was constructed in 2005 and includes 13 lit fields (one championship field), 900 parking spaces, concession building with restrooms and an irrigation pond.
* DCBA recently completed a master plan for the overall complex.
