ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     McKinney Community Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on a project grant application submitted by the Heritage Guild of Collin County for costs related to expansion and upgrades to the Bevel House at Chestnut Square.

                     The project includes interior painting of the Chapel.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The mission of Heritage Guild of Collin County is to celebrate community, preserve history and inspire the future.

                     HGCC was organized more than 40 years ago.

                     HGCC supports Chestnut Square Historic Village - a McKinney museum and tourist destination offering diverse programs and activities throughout the year.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Funds allocated for FY21 for discretionary Project Grants is $1,530,105.

                     To date, the MCDC board has approved grant awards totaling $323,837.58, leaving a balance of $1,206,267.42 for discretionary project grants.

                     The request is eligible for MCDC consideration under Section 505.152 of the Texas Local Government Code.
