• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with Tallent Roofing, Inc. dba Demo & Excavation Services, Inc. of McKinney, Texas as Primary Vendor and Fannin Tree Farm Sales, LLC, of Frisco, Texas as a Secondary Vendor for Hazardous Tree Trimming on an as needed basis.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation for Bid 16-35FP, Hazardous Tree Trimming in November 2015.
• Four (4) bids were received on December 10, 2015.
• An Evaluation Team comprised of three City employees reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o Price
o Reputation of the bidders and of bidders’ goods or services verified through reference checks
o Equipment
o Bidders past relationship with the City of McKinney
o Response time
• The Evaluation Team recommends Tallent Roofing, Inc. dba Demo & Excavation Services, Inc. (primary) and Fannin Tree Farm Sales, LLC (secondary) as the best value for the City of McKinney
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a one (1) year period with two (2) one (1) year renewal options.
