RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with Eldorado Motors of McKinney, Texas, for the purchase of GM OEM parts and services.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation to Bid 17-19SC, GM OEM Parts and Services on December 4, 2016.
• Out of 78 supplier notifications, two (2) bids were received on December 22, 2016 from:
o Huffines Chevrolet of Plano, Texas; and
o Eldorado Motors of McKinney, Texas
• An evaluation team reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o Cost of parts and cost of repair rates
o Delivery time
o Services provided by the bidder
o Bidder’s past relationship with the City of McKinney
• The evaluation team recommends Eldorado Motors as the best value for the City.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a two (2) year period with three (3) one (1) year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for the GM OEM parts and services are budgeted in various City accounts.
