RECOMMENDED PARK BOARD ACTION:                     

                     Approval of the Item.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This agenda item will authorize a professional services contract with LJA Engineering to provide planning and engineering services for the light walk at Towne Lake Park.

 

                     The newly completed master plan for Towne Lake Park identifies this area as the Gathering zone.  While this zone has numerous master planned amenities, this contract will provide design services for the light walk, which is a trail system throughout the wooded area south of the pond that will be improved with decorative lighting to enhance and amplify the experience.

 

                     Additional phases of the master plan are anticipated once additional funding is secured.

 

                                                                                                                              

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     LJA was selected from a list of pre-qualified landscape architectural firms that Council approved on July 22, 2022.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     This project (PK4393) is a FY22-23 Capital Improvements Program funded by MCDC and Parkland Zone 4 funds in an amount of $438,302.
