RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the attached Ordinance.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The Veterans Memorial Park project has continued to receive donations since the CIP budget was approved in September 2010.
• A total of $32,091 in additional donations for the construction and maintenance of the Veterans Memorial Park in McKinney Project (PK6083) has increased total funding from $1,221,985 to $1,254,076.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Concurrent items on this agenda include a Resolution authorizing a construction agreement to construct the Veterans Memorial Park in McKinney project.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Veterans Memorial Park in McKinney Project (PK6083) is a FY 10-11 Capital Improvements Program project funded by donations, a Collin County grant, in-kind services, and MCDC funds.
BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
• On May 12, 2011, the McKinney Armed Services Memorial Board recommended the award of the construction contract for the Veterans Memorial Park in McKinney project to JDC Construction Company.
• On May 12, 2011, the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Board recommended the award of the construction contract for the Veterans Memorial Park in McKinney project to JDC Construction Company.
