RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This resolution amends the FY2015-2016 Annual Budget and the 2016-2020 Capital Improvements Program by creating a new Capital Improvements Project called ST4422 Trinity Falls Parkway Lanes 3 and 4.
• The new project will be funded with Funds from the following project:
o Transferring $90,000 from ST4373 Development Catalyst Project to the Unallocated Fund Balance ST0000.
o Appropriating $90,000 from the Unallocated Fund Balance ST0000 for ST4422 Trinity Falls Parkway Lanes 3 and 4.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City of McKinney has an agreement with Castle Hills, the developer of Trinity Falls, where Castle Hills is required to construct Trinity Falls from FM 543 south approximately 6000 feet.
• Trinity Falls Parkway will be constructed with four lanes with a median.
• The existing connection between Laud Howell Parkway and the end of the proposed expansion of Trinity Falls was constructed as two lanes.
• The approximate length of the additional two lanes to be constructed is 1,500 feet.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• With the approval of this item, $2,910,000 will remain in ST4373 Developer Catalyst Project.
