ITEM SUMMARY:

This amendment will extend the existing Potable Water Pass Through and Pumping Agreement between the City of McKinney and Greater Texoma Utility Authority (GTUA) through September 30, 2019 with the option to continue extending it on a year by year basis.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

On November 30, 2004 GTUA and the City entered into the original agreement.  This agreement was amended on August 20, 2006.

The original agreement included the completion of the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) Delivery Point #4 in 2015.  The delivery point and the associated transmission line have been delayed; the new proposed finish date is in 2018.

The agreement will terminate on September 230, 2019, or when the NTMWD delivery point is complete whichever is first.  There is an option to continue the agreement if all parties are willing to do so.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:

GTUA’s rate will not be changed.
