· Approval of resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
· The purchase of a new street sweeper truck is to replace an existing sweeper truck that has required extensive maintenance work over the last year.
· The City has received a quote Kinloch Equipment & Supply, Inc. through BuyBoard for an Elgin Crosswind Street Sweeper at a cost of $188,287.92
· This item will be purchased in FY 2012; therefore, funding will come from the FY 2012 budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The street sweeper truck is used daily to reduce maintenance costs of cleaning inlets and storm pipes.
· This vehicle is used to support our Storm Water Management Program.
· This vehicle is also used for emergency clean up of spills or dirt on the roadways.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· Upon City Council approval, staff will make necessary budget transfers within existing appropriations.
