ITEM SUMMARY:
• On September 21, 2010, the McKinney City Council created Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) Number Two
• On April 5, 2011, the McKinney City Council passed Ordinance 2011-04-17 relating to the administration of Reinvestment Zone Number Two
• Amendment of this Ordinance is necessary to facilitate the administration of Reinvestment Zone Number Two
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Ordinance 2011-04-17 requires quarterly meetings of the TIRZ Board of Directors and appointment to the Board by resolution or ordinance
• This amendment gives the Chair of the TIRZ Board the discretion to request meetings of the Board on an as needed basis and removes the requirement for appointment to the TIRZ Board by resolution or ordinance
