ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Budget and the 2021-2025 Capital Improvements Program to provide funding for the new McKinney Municipal Complex (FC1707).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• With the construction of the McKinney Municipal Complex, various departments of the City of McKinney will be relocated to the new complex upon completion.
• The Architectural and Engineering Services proposed by the firm Lake|Flato + Parkhill, a joint venture, for the McKinney Municipal Complex project has an overall budget of $6,724,116. This budget amendment provides the required funding.
• There is a companion agenda item for an amendment to the Architectural and Engineering (A/E) professional services contract related to this project also included in this council session.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Budget and the 2021-2025 Capital Improvements Program by appropriating and transferring $3,000,000 from the General Fund and appropriating the funds in the Facilities Improvement Fund for the new McKinney Municipal Complex Project (FC1707).
