RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:      
·      Approval of Resolution for acceptance of the grant, if awarded
 
ITEM SUMMARY:  
·      If awarded, the Texas Forest Service will provide a standardized TIFMAS vehicle, titled in the name of the City
·      TIFMAS vehicle will be provided under a 100% grant program managed by the Texas Forest Service
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  
·      Texas Forest Service awards apparatus (fire engines) to support participation in the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS)
·      City may use the vehicle for local/regional mutual aid incidents, local/regional multiple alarm incidents, National Defense emergency events, local community events, training of firefighters, and as standby when regular apparatus is temporarily out of service.
 
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:  
·      There is no grant match.  However, all costs for operating, maintaining and repairing the TIFMAS vehicle will be the responsibility of the City
