RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approve Resolution for acceptance of the grant

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The STEP- Impaired Driving Mobilization (IDM) Grant allows McKinney Police Officers to work overtime to conduct DWI enforcement during holiday periods to increase DWI arrests as part of the “Drink. Drive. Go To Jail” campaign and in conjunction with the national Impaired Driving Mobilization campaign.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The grant is funded by the Texas Department of Transportation

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     The amount of the grant is $9,675

                     Non-cash match provided by the City

                     Fringe benefits - $3,870
