ITEM SUMMARY:
• At the January 4, 2016 Work Session, Council asked staff to gather input and feedback from downtown stakeholders regarding events in Historic Downtown McKinney.
• McKinney Main Street issued an online survey and held an open workshop for business owners, property owners and business managers to provide input on events in Historic Downtown McKinney.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• In December 2014, a subcommittee of Council was formed to discuss events across McKinney including events in the Historic Downtown and the impact of street closures.
• From December 2014 to present, the subcommittee met three times.
