RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This item authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Professional Service Industries, Inc., (PSI) to provide material testing services on the construction of intersection improvements at seven locations, for an amount not-to-exceed $60,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• A concurrent item authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Jim Bowman Construction Company, LP, for the construction of these intersections improvements is included on this agenda.
• PSI will perform material testing services to ensure the materials supplied by the construction contractor conform to the plans and specifications.
• PSI provided a proposal for this work in the amount of $49,241.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for this project is available in the Capital Improvements Program, ST7128 ($60,000).
