RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of the Ordinance
ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Ordinance authorizes the addition of $15,000 from the Park Construction fund balance to CIP Project PK3240 - Tom Allen, Jr. Park Parking Lot Lighting project.
· With previous actions and administrative transfers this Budget Amendment will bring the total project costs of CIP Project PK3240 - Tom Allen Jr. Park Lighting, to $25,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· Security concerns were brought to the attention of the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Department.
· A public input meeting was held with citizens, police representatives, and the PROS staff to discuss vandal issues and possible solutions.
· It was determined that security lighting may help to alleviate these issues within Tom Allen, Jr. Park.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· This Ordinance authorizes a CIP budget amendment, transferring $15,000 from the Park Construction fund balance (PK0000) to the Tom Allen, Jr. Park Parking Lot Lighting Project (PK3240)
