ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Staff requests to amend the Water Distribution budget to cover the cost of two temporary Irrigation Compliance Officers.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     In November 2011, The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) enacted stage 3 of the Drought Contingency Plan.

                     With increased restrictions on McKinney customers and long term outlook of drought, management elected to employ two temporary compliance officers to provide additional enforcement until stage 3 was rescinded.
