ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Excel Aircraft LLC (DBA: Excel Trenching) for the construction of the Redbud Pump Station Transmission Line (850PP) Phase 2 Project for a total contract amount not to exceed $3,150,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* BGE, Inc. prepared the design and associated construction plans for the Redbud Pump Station Transmission Line (850PP) Phase 2 Project (WA4340).
* The project includes the construction of 4,670 feet of master-planned 42" water transmission line from the Redbud Pump Station to the intersection of Bloomdale Road and Community Avenue.
* The proposed water transmission line will deliver water from the new Redbud Pump Station facility (expected to be operational in early 2020) to the City's 850 water service area.
* On Friday, November 22, 2019, the Purchasing Department opened bids for the project. Six (6) bids were received for Bid No. 20-11CC. The following is a summary of the bids:
