ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $33,051, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with RJN Group, Inc. (RJN) for professional consulting engineering services for the Aerial Wastewater Crossing Replacement Project over Jeans Creek, for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $37,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· During a recent inspection of the sanitary sewer system near West Park Drive and Jeans Creek, an aerial crossing was determined to be in a condition that requires replacement as soon as possible.
· RJN was selected from the list of seven qualified professional engineering consulting firms previously approved by the Council for the design of minor utility projects.
· RJN has submitted a proposal in the amount of $33,051 to perform the consulting services for this project.
· Upon approval of the engineering services contract, RJN will prepare the design and provide administration services during construction.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a contract with RJN, for an amount not to exceed $37,000.
· Funds are available in the Capital Improvements Program in WW3255.
