RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of Resolution.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This item provides authority to the City Manager to execute documents for the acquisition of easements; and take all necessary steps to acquire the needed property rights to relocate and construct water and sewer mains along the west and east sides of US 75 from SH 121 to White Avenue.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The City of McKinney Capital Improvements Program includes funds needed for the relocation of the water and sewer mains along US 75 affected by the widening of US 75, from SH 121 to White Avenue.

                     The utility relocation project will reconstruct approximately 20,000 linear feet of water and sewer mains along the west and east sides of US 75 from SH 121 to White Avenue.

                     This project requires the acquisition of approximately 25 permanent utility easements ranging in width from 5 to 25 feet, and one 30 foot wide temporary construction easement.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Funds for the easement acquisitions are available in WA9118 and WW9119.
