RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Rejection of all proposals received for 12-11RFP, Endpoint Installation and Support Services
ITEM SUMMARY:
· A Request for Proposal was released in efforts to contract with a vendor to provide endpoint installation services for the Department of Information Technology
· Services were to include:
Ø imaging services;
Ø delivering the equipment to end user departments;
Ø unpacking the equipment;
Ø assisting with batch scripted profile movement;
Ø de-assembling old equipment;
Ø packaging old equipment;
Ø setting up new equipment;
Ø removing old equipment;
Ø and removing packaging
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The Request for Proposals, 12-11RFP was advertised on March 18, 2012
· A total of five proposals were received and opened on April 12, 2012
· After review of proposals, it became apparent that the project was cost prohibitive and could be handled in house with a combination of current staff and temporary labor (if needed).
