RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the attached Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The purpose of these services is to design phase one of Bonnie Wenk Park.
• Clark Condon has proposed design and engineering services for the design of Bonnie Wenk Park in an amount of $363,070
• Scope of services:
o Architectural and Engineering $275,870
o Survey $ 17,050
o Geotechnical Engineering $ 9,900
o Hydraulic Engineer $ 23,650
o FEMA/CLOMR $ 6,600
o Reimbursable Expenses Allowance $ 30,000
o Total $363,070
• It is recommended that the Council authorize the Interim City Manager to execute a contract with Clark Condon in an amount not to exceed $363,070 for design and engineering services for the Bonnie Wenk Park Phase I project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On September 28, 2009, Clark Condon Associates presented the conceptual master plan of Bonnie Wenk Park to City Council.
• In December of 2007, City Council awarded Clark Condon Associates the design contract for the conceptual design of the Wilson Creek Corridor Development at Virginia Parkway.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Bonnie Wenk Park (PK5085) is a FY 10-11 Capital Improvements Program funded by MCDC funds.
BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
• On October 14, 2010, the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Board recommended to City Council that Clark Condon Associates be awarded a design contract for phase I of Bonnie Wenk Park.
