ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of contract to Best EMS for Medical Direction and Related Services and authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute a contract effective November 1, 2015.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Request for Proposals 15-61RFP, Medical Direction and Related Services in June 2015.
• The RFP was released as a matter of due diligence and to evaluate market options.
• Two (2) proposals were received on July 16, 2015.
o Best EMS
o QuestCare Medical Services
• An evaluation team comprised of three City employees reviewed and ranked the proposals based on the following criteria:
o Provider’s proposed services meet the objectives in this RFP and the needs and requirements of the City of McKinney
o Price of services
o Provider’s qualifications/experience
o References & recent proven success
• The evaluation team recommends Best EMS as the best value for the City.
• Contract will commence on November 1, 2015 and continue for a one (1) year period with four (4) one (1) year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for these services are currently budgeted in 001-3224-423-8516
• Cost for services: $99,800.00 annually
